On the New Year’s Day and the few days to follow, people often visit their relatives and friends to give one another their best wishes for the new year. Throughout this festival period firecrackers can be heard everywhere. This festival is the most important festival for the Chinese.

I went out to have dinner with father today. I should make toast during the dinner but there was no juice availabe. So I had a bottle of beer. My face turned red but I was not drunk. I dont think beer tastes bad but I wont like have it too much because I am only a student.

去年媽媽給我報了YOU&ME階梯英語班，每個星期天下午上兩個半小時課。
開始我對這個班一點都不感興趣，一個原因是我不喜歡學英語，另一個原因是上這個課就占用了我星期天玩的時間。所以，每次上課我都是嘴噘臉掉，極不情愿地被媽媽拽去�？墒亲罱覍τ⒄Z越來越感興趣了，我發(fā)現(xiàn)上階梯英語課是件快樂的事情。每次上課都是老師Ruhy帶著我們做游戲，只不過全部說英語，不能說中文。 有一次我們學到husband 與wife這兩個單詞時，Ruhy 扮演wife，她選了我們小朋友里最高的男孩子當husband，可是還是比Ruhy低很多。然后，Ruhy對她的'husband說：“You are very low !”斗得我們小朋友都哈哈大笑。我們在課堂上不僅玩分角色讀課文，還玩擊鼓傳球，貓捉老鼠……總之，在這里學英語變成了做游戲，我對英語也從討厭變成了喜歡。
自從我喜歡上英語以后，每次都能受到Ruhy的表揚，媽媽也夸我進步很大。我發(fā)現(xiàn)學英語并不難，只要勇敢、開口、大聲念就會學好的。
