1.Everybody has a best friend that they can share everything with.I also have a best friend.We met in school,and we're in the same grade.

My best friend is a good student because he is very hardworking.I learn a lot from him.He helps me with math;I help him with English.We always help each other.besides that,he's honest and reliable.I trust him completely and we share secrets all the time.

My best friend is also loyal and brave.Once when a bully teased me,he came to my rescue right away.He always remembers my birthday and he is fun to be with.He tells funny jokes and stories.He always makes me laugh.Finally,he is a very good listener and he knows how to cheer me up when I'm down.

My best friend is really one of a kind.I hope we'll stay friends forever.

2.It was a very busy evening, I was doing my homework at my home. My father was writing a composition in the study room. My mother was interested in Shanghai opera. She was watching a Shanghai opera contest. The apartment was very quiet. Suddenly the light went out. It was a blackout, but I liked it very much. It came and I didn’t have to do my homework. We went to the living room very slowly.

After 5 minutes, we all sat in the sofa. It was a lucky, fortunate day. I said that let’s held a concert. My parents agreed with me. I took out some candles and lighted up. We were singing, laughing and talking. We had a really good time. But while I was singing, the light suddenly turned on. Oh, my God. My father went back to his room went on writing.

My mother turned on the TV and said to me “Dear, do your homework!” I felt very frustrated. I sat at the desk and thought I hated light. I hoped there would be a blackout the next day. I thought I would enjoy myself more and more. I went into a dream.

3.Weekends to people mean that people can have two days' rest. They can go out or get together at home.

Everybody spends weekends in his own way. Some people relax themselves by listening to music, reading in libraries or doing sports outdoors. In a word, different people have different relaxations.

I often spend weekends with my family. Sometimes my parents take me to visit our relatives. Sometimes we go swimming or go dancing and sometimes I go to read some instructive books. I often enjoy myself at weekends.

4.I like a variety of activities,fi'om active and wild ones like camping, sports and parties to quiet ones like reading and watching TV. I like to be outdoors,to participate in sports and to do daring things. For example, several friends and I once took a trip down a wild river in a raft. We spent a week navigating dangerous currents, camping at night, fixing our own meals and having much fun. I am a member of our college foothall team. I also like to do risky things such as skiing, motorcycling and mountain climbing, but I don't do them often and am very careful.

I also like to be with my friends. I usually get invited to at least one party a week. If I don't,then I arrange one myself, even it is very informal Whenever I have a chance, I either eat out or go dancing with my friends.

In contrast,there are also many quiet private things that I enjoy doing. I have spent whole days reading a book, and I occasionally stay up late at night with a good novel. Sometimes, too, I like to spend a relaxed evening watching light TV programs, or talking with friends about serious matters over a glass of wine. In other words, I like to do different things, depending on the mood I am in and the kind of people I am around.
