Our class had a discussion about protecting the environment. Here is my opinion. I think the environmentis one of our biggest worries. Water is as important as our life.But with the increase of the population and the rapid development of industry, water pollution in China is becoming more and more serious.
On the one hand, many factories pour waste water into rivers without making it clean.On the other hand, very little waste water from our daily life gets treated before it's poured into the river.What's more, poison is often used to kill pests and weeds, and much of it is washed in the river by rain or is taken into the earth.As a result, not only river water but also underground water is polluted.
What can we do about this problem?I think everybody should pay enough attention to it.Factories which can not treat waste water must be shut up as soon as possible.Waste water must be made clean before it flows back into rivers.And better ways that don't cause water pollution must be found to kill pests and weeds.
